Ed Gilmet, P. Geoph. — President, Chief Executive Officer and Director⁽²⁾

Mr. Gilmet has over 30 years of oil and gas experience in a variety of exploration and management positions in several prominent major and intermediate sized companies. Mr. Gilmet brings these strengths to Arcan's corporate management and strategic long term planning. He also brings an extensive background of successful oil and gas exploration throughout the entire Western Canadian sedimentary basin and especially within the Hamburg/Chinchaga drilling area. Mr. Gilmet is a member of Arcan's Compensation and Corporate Governance Committee.

Andy Fisher, B.Comm. PLM — Executive VP and Director⁽¹⁾

Mr. Fisher has 20 years of varied experience in oil and gas land management, operations, financings, strategic planning, business development, acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence and office management. Mr. Fisher has been employed as Executive Vice President of Arcan Resources Ltd. since May 2004. Mr. Fisher was employed with Pacalta Resources Ltd. from March 1993 until June 1999 in the position of Vice President, International Contracts and Negotiations. Mr. Fisher helped manage Pacalta's Canadian assets and oversaw its pursuit of business opportunities in various countries. Mr. Fisher is a member of Arcan's Reserves /Health Safety and Environment Committee.

Doug Penner, CA, CIA, CFA — Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Penner has over 20 years of varied experience in oil and gas financial management, operations, financings, strategic planning, business development, acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence and reporting. In addition to being involved in all aspects of public company reporting, Mr. Penner brings his strengths to his involvement with the board of directors and in-depth assessment of business strategies and alternatives. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Penner was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Tempest Energy Corp., a public company listed on the TSX. Mr. Penner was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Open Range Energy Corp., a spin out created upon the sale of Tempest Energy, prior to joining Arcan. Prior to Tempest Energy, Mr. Penner was employed by Northrock Resources, Tier One Energy Corp., Amerada Hess Canada and Ernst & Young.

Graeme Ryder, CA — VP Finance and Controller

Mr. Ryder joined Arcan in August 2006 with 11 plus years of experience. Mr. Ryder was formerly the Controller of Tempest Energy Corp. and Controller of Open Range Energy Corp. Mr. Ryder obtained his Chartered Accountant designation while working at KPMG LLP.

Kyle Baumgardner, P. Eng. — VP Production

Mr. Baumgardner joins Arcan with more than 13 years of Operational Experience in various international and domestic roles. Prior to joining Arcan in April 2011, Mr. Baumgardner performed Sr. Engineering roles at mid-sized and Jr. producers along with technical roles with a leading service provider of well stimulation services.

Kevin Gunning, P. Eng. — VP Engineering

Mr. Gunning brings 13 years of industry experience in reservoir and exploitation roles in NE BC and Alberta. His key focus has been on Swan Hills waterflood and miscible flood implementation and management. Mr. Gunning was the lead engineer on a significant gas discovery of Carson Creek Beaverhill Lake C Pool and was responsible for the first horizontal stage acid multi-fractured well in the Swan Hills Trend.

Thanos Natras, P. Geol. — Vice President Exploration

Mr. Natras has over 15 years of oil and gas related experience in the WCSB. Prior to him joining Arcan in January, 2011, Mr. Natras spent eight years working with Calgary's EnCana Corporation where he had the opportunity to work in both operational and technical roles on a number of resource plays across Central Alberta. Before joining EnCana in 2003, Mr. Natras worked as a well site geologist for seven years, siting more than 180 wells from NE B.C. to SE Saskatchewan. Mr. Natras has a B.Sc. with Specialization in Geology from the University of Alberta and is a member of the CSPG and a registered member of APEGGA.
